After exploring the
natural beauty and rich history of the Eastern Cape, weary visitors can
indulge in a unique “African Hum and Sun massage” at Die Tuishuise in
the historical Karoo town of Cradock. Professionally trained local Xhosa
women perform the massages whilst singing and humming traditional
melodies.
Die Tuishuise have empowered
these local women so they can get involved in the tourism
industry and reap the benefits that tourism brings to Cradock.
There are also several
other therapies available at the Karoo Wellness Studio including a
“Royal Karoo Full Body Elixir” which involves a full body massage using
custom blended aromatic essences followed by a herbal body exfoliation.
